Late Summer Check-In!
Hello South Davis Families.
It's hard to believe but we are just less than 1 month (23 days!) from the start of the new school year!
I wanted to share a few reminders and updates to help you plan as you enjoy the last few weeks of this amazing summer.
Please reach out if you have any questions to help you and your children as you prepare for September 3, our first day of school.

School Supplies
We are again using School Tool Box for families to purchase your supplies in one place, shipped directly home. You can order from this website. and a one-page document with a detailed list for each grade is attached.
There is a printable/shareable file attached, with a QR code as well.
The following items are required for all students but are not included in the supply lists:
- A standard-sized backpack large enough for a lunch box and school work (no wheels)
- Computer headphones (not wireless), in a sealable plastic bag (K-5 only)
- Sweatshirt to be kept at school for emergency use (will be returned, K-5 only)
- Art smock (an old adult t-shirt works best)
- Reusable water bottle
Have extra supplies? We will have a box at school where you can drop off any supplies your family doesn't need and it will go to other families in our school community.

Distraction-Free Schools 📵
As shared previously, starting in September, a new New York State law prohibits students from using personal internet-enabled devices (phones, smartwatches, etc.) during the school day anywhere on school grounds, with limited exceptions for medical and IEP or 504 accommodations. This applies to all instructional and non-instructional periods, including homeroom, lunch, recess, passing time and all other activities during the school day.
Please see the attached letter for more details. The District's policy is also attached.
