Hello Natick High School Caregivers,

We are entering the final two weeks of school, including final exams. The last full day of classes is Monday, and we are encouraging all of our students to finish strong. Their final assessment (exam, project or other assessment) are 15% of their semester grades. We appreciate your support in reminding them to study this weekend.

From Tuesday onward, the schedule will be:

7:30 - 9:00: Exam 1

9:00 - 9:25: Break

9:30 - 11:00: Exam 2

11:00 - Dismissal

Please take note of the 7:30 am start time for ALL students and the early dismissal at 11:00 am. We have found that minimizing the number of exams that students have in one day, along with the early release has provided students the time to prepare well for all of their exams.

On the first day of exams, Tuesday, June 16th, we celebrate the end of the year with a FREE barbecue called Redhawk Fest! We are so grateful for the partnership of the Redhawk Foundation, who supports our efforts to celebrate the end of the year with our students. There will be games, music and food. Students who wish to join in the fun should fill out the form below so we can prepare for enough food.

I am looking forward to ending the year with all of our students.

Best,

Josepha Blocker

Principal, Natick High School

NHS METG's Music Theatre Awards NHS METG's Music Theatre Awards

Natick High School students were nominated to receive a Music Theatre Award through the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild. The Guild created the Music Theatre Awards as a Tony Awards-style program to offer both middle and high school members a season-long opportunity to bring experienced adjudicators into their theaters, compete for recognition for the musical theatre awards, and grant high school students an opportunity to participate in the Jimmy Awards - a National High School Musical Theater Award program sponsored by the Broadway League Foundation.

Natick High School had five students who were deemed eligible to compete for round one of the Jimmy Awards. Within the experience, three of our students received nominations for Music Theatre Awards. Liam Turner was nominated for Best Performance Male Leading Role, Bernie Klau for Best Performance Male Supporting Role, and Meghan Williams was nominated for Best Stage Management.

Healthy Youth Summit Healthy Youth Summit

NHS students attended the Massachusetts Youth Conference at the Boston Convention Center. The event was attended by 400 high school students from across the state. The students support the Lauren Astley Memorial Foundation and the Relationship Project in facilitating a large-scale lesson on the signs of relationship violence, they did so with remarkable confidence and leadership.

Our students engaged peers in meaningful discussions, expanded thoughtfully on topics, and asked insightful questions. Originally scheduled to lead discussion groups in teams of three, several immediately volunteered to facilitate groups on their own as attendance grew and additional support was needed. As you can imagine, leading meaningful conversations among peers can be challenging, but they stepped up without hesitation.
