5Essentials Parent Survey
The annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey is now open and available for families through March 31, 2025. Fremd High School encourages you to participate. Your input will help guide our school’s improvement efforts. The survey assesses the following five components of success:
Effective leaders
Collaborative teachers
Involved families
Supportive environment
Ambitious instruction
The survey is in English and Spanish at http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/.
We highly encourage you to participate in this short survey. Note all parents or legal guardians are able to take one survey for every student you have enrolled in our schools.
It is administered by UChicago Impact at the University of Chicago on behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education. It is important to us that each student’s family complete this survey, as we are then provided helpful information and feedback for improvement.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact our school’s survey coordinator, Assistant Principal Scott Newmark at 847-755-2618.
Thank you!

A Note About Parking
Dear Fremd Students and Families,
With the start of the new semester, please remember that only students who have been issued a 2nd Semester parking pass may park on campus. We have seen an increase in the number of students parking with an expired pass or no pass at all, which has made it harder for students who have a 2nd Semester parking pass to find an open space.
Students who park in the parking lot without the proper pass may face disciplinary consequences including detentions, loss of off campus privileges, social suspension, and/or not being able to participate in future parking lotteries.
There will be extra staff at the entrances of the parking lot to ensure that only students with parking passes enter the lot.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Scott Newmark
Assistant Principal
