SES Garden Blog

Welcome to the Sheridan Elementary School Garden webpage! We are glad you stopped by to look around. Please come back often to see what is new to our page. We want to keep you updated on what is happening, growing and changing in our school garden. So far we have planted and grown both sweet potatoes and strawberries!

During the first week of June, students from Mrs. Whitaker and Mrs. Marsh class came back to school to help plant the sweet potatoes to be harvested in the fall by the 2nd grade students. Last year we harvested over 400 pounds! Let's see how many we can harvest this year! Students will get to taste the sweet potatoes in the Fall.

Students brought painted rocks to decorate our new butterfly garden. Teachers brought each student out on Thursday, May 16 to see the garden and place their rock around the raised beds.
