Hoyne Happenings
Happy Monday!
Last week was a great week at Pembroke! Our STEAM and Art Innovation Night was a huge success. I am always impressed with the amazing creative abilities of our students, from 3D pieces, to engineering tasks, and beautiful singing from the Eton Street Singers, it was an impressive night!
Students in grades 3 - 5 will continue taking MSTEP this week. Our students are ready to show how much theyβve grown academically. We encourage students to rest well, eat a healthy breakfast, and approach each day with confidence.
Did you know that April is Autism Awareness Month? All month long we have been learning about neurodiversity including in PRIDE Packs and Respect Circles. You can ask your student about what they have been learning. Next week, April 27th - May 1st, we will end the month with a week long spirit week focusing on inclusion.
Next week, we look forward to celebrating our amazing secretaries, Mrs. Longe and Mrs. Rumple! Wednesday, April 22nd is Administrative Professionals Day. Our school is so fortunate to have them in the main office and they do everything to keep Pembroke running smoothly. Please take time to send them a note of appreciation!
Finally, our April PTA meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 6th at 9am at Pembroke. This will follow the Walk, Bike, Roll to school and refreshments will be provided. The PTA is a great way to get involved, meet other Pembroke parents, and hear about the great things happening at Pembroke.
Have a great week!

Pembroke Enrollment Changes
At this time of year we begin planning for staffing and student placement for the 26 - 27 school year. If your student/s will be entering grades 1 - 5 next school year and you will not be returning, we would appreciate you taking a minute to fill out this form, so we can plan appropriately for next year. Thank you so much. Again, this form should only be filled out if your child is not returning to Pembroke next year and would be in entering grades 1 - 5.
2026-2027 Classroom Environment Request Form
During spring, thoughts turn to the 2026-2027 school year and the student placement process. The student placement process is a team effort conducted with great care and consideration of the growth and development of all students. A balance of character strengths, academic ability, social-emotional growth, individual and instructional needs are taken into consideration.
Any information about your child that you, as parents, may wish to share that will help us make our decision will be taken into consideration. If you would like to share information about your child, you may use this form. Please do not request an individual teacher or include names of students other than your own. Rather, we ask you to give us additional information that will help us select the right classroom for your child. It is important to note that with or without information from parents/guardians, the staff will review each student's needs individually and select the learning environment in which we believe he/she will learn best.
If you wish to share information, please complete this form by Monday, April 20th, 2026. Please note that families do not need to fill this form out, it is only necessary if you have information you
would like to share with the team.
