8th Grade Transition Night

If you have an 8th grader, please plan to join your student at 8th Grade Transitions Night. Students will be presenting their High School & Beyond Plan Presentation with you. This is a state requirement for all 8th graders and they will continue to work on these HSBP plans during High School Advisory periods all the way up until senior year. This will also count as their Spring Parent Conference as they will be sharing their academic progress report with you.

This is an important event! It is exciting to hear them talk about their future goals! Former Conway Students representing different high schools will also be doing a Q & A.

Weekly Meal Prep

Our Conway Wellness Committee is encouraging families to lean into Meal Prepping this month! Meal planning and preparation can have numerous mental health benefits. From reducing stress and increasing self-esteem, to improving time management and promoting healthy eating habits, the practice of meal planning and prep can have a positive impact on overall well-being.

What this looks like:

Sit down as a family and look at your calendar for the week. Do you have busy sports schedules after school? Maybe a crock pot meal would be best. Do you have older kids that can help out with meal prep? Maybe add a meal that they can get going for you. Gather input from each family member on meals they might prefer. Pick out snacks for kids lunches for easier making in the morning. Then make meal list for just that week. Write your grocery list for just those meals. This will ensure happy kids, less stress for parents, and even save you money!
