Dear Families,

We had another busy and wonderful week at Hamilton Elementary!

Our 5th graders took an exciting step toward their upcoming field trip by participating in BizTown interviews—what a great experience for our future leaders! Students also enjoyed a fun lunchtime performance from our talented 5th grade bucket drummers.

We were proud to celebrate many of our incredible volunteers at the CFISD VIPS Luncheon this week. Their time and support make such a difference on our campus, and we are so grateful! A big thank you to our families for contributing to our Sweet Treat Cookie Day—it was both thoughtful and delicious!

Students were thrilled to welcome Nana Puddin’ for a special “Flashlight Pajama Party”—such a memorable event with a great message! We wrapped up the week with our Café Firstie event and 4th grade Biography presentations, showcasing the hard work and creativity of our students.It truly is a great day to be a Lion!

As we head into May, we have many exciting events coming up. Please be sure to read through the full newsletter so you don’t miss any of the fun!

Next week, we invite our students and families to help us celebrate all of the incredible staff members who make our school special—teachers, paraprofessionals, office staff, custodians, cafeteria staff, instructional specialists, and so many others. During Staff Appreciation Week, we encourage students to show gratitude to any staff member who makes a difference in their day.

We wanted to offer simple ways students can participate, many of which cost nothing at all and focus on kindness and helpfulness.
