Counseling Connection
Clark High School / May & June 2024
Spring 2024
As we finish up the 2023-2024 school year, we need to stop and reflect on our progress throughout this school year. We will focus on finishing the year strong and prepare for the upcoming transitions that a new school year will bring. We continue to help our Cougars learn how to self-reflect, manage stress, cope with transitions by offering guidance lessons, grade level conferences, and campus-wide counseling activities. Your counselors are here to help you focus on the finish line!

Counseling Topic: Self-Relection
Self-reflection involves developing meaning from our experiences to gain understanding of ourselves and the world around us. It is important to reflect on the goals you set at the beginning of the year, struggles you faced and how you overcame them. Try to utilize these lessons in the future or other areas of growth from the year. Self-reflection helps you evaluate your academic and personal/social growth.
Self-Reflection: Tools to help reflect on the end of the school year
Your Clark Counselors are here to help support you socially and emotionally. Keep checking back for additional tips to help you evaluate your academic and personal/social growth
2. Reflect on goals achieved - Discussing goals achieved helps you realize that you DO have the tools needed to achieve goals and overcome obstacles.
3. Ask self-reflection questions - What do you wish you did more of at work? What is one thing that would have made the school year more enjoyable. How can you improve for next year.
