El Paso High - #TigerStrong
Tiger Community
Dear Tiger Community,
Happy New Year, and welcome back! I hope you and your family enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating winter break. As we begin this new semester, I want to take a moment to reflect on all we’ve accomplished so far and to look ahead with excitement and high expectations for the months to come.
A Fresh Start and New Opportunities
The beginning of the semester offers a fresh start for our students, staff, and school community. It’s a time to set new goals, work hard to reach our fullest potential, and continue to grow both academically and personally. I have no doubt that, with your support and our collective efforts, this semester will be a successful one for all our students.
High Expectations and Commitment to Excellence
At El Paso High, we believe in setting high expectations for every student, and this semester will be no different. Our focus remains on academic excellence, character development, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. We are committed to ensuring that each student has the tools, resources, and encouragement they need to succeed. Let’s work together to make this semester the best one yet!
A Partnership for Success
As always, your partnership is invaluable in ensuring our students’ success. I encourage you to stay engaged in your child’s academic journey, attend school events, and communicate with teachers and staff whenever necessary. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our students’ education.
Let’s make this semester a memorable one filled with growth, success, and joy. Thank you for your continued support and for being an essential part of our school community. Here’s to a fantastic start to the new year!

Cold Weather
As we move into the cold season, I want to ensure that all of our students have the warmth and comfort they need to thrive during the school day. I understand that not every family has access to the resources necessary to keep their children warm, and we want to offer our support.
If you or someone you know is in need of a jacket, sweater, or any other warm clothing, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. El Paso High is committed to helping our students and their families during this season, and we are happy to assist with any clothing needs to ensure that our students can stay warm and focused.
You can contact me at srocha@episd.org or (915) 236-2505, and we will work to provide the support needed. No family should have to worry about keeping their child warm during school hours, and we are here to help.
Thank you for being part of our El Paso High School community. Together, we can ensure a warm and welcoming environment for all of our students.
Class Meetings
Thursday: 9th &11th Friday: 10th & 12th
As we move through this busy 2nd semester, I wanted to take a moment to update you on a few important initiatives and reminders for our students. On Thursday January 9th and Friday January 10th (weather permitting), I will be meeting with each grade level to review our school expectations and discuss how we can continue to support our students in achieving success—not just academically, but as whole individuals. These meetings will focus on:
School Expectations: I’ll be reminding students about our shared values, behavior expectations, and the importance of creating a positive learning environment for everyone.
Upcoming Events: We’ll also discuss some exciting upcoming events and how students can get involved.
Support for Success: Whether it’s academic guidance, emotional well-being, or college/career planning, our staff is here to support every student in reaching their fullest potential. We are committed to providing the resources and encouragement necessary to help them succeed.
Please encourage your student(s) to attend these meetings with a positive mindset. If you have any concerns or questions about how we can further support your child, do not hesitate to reach out to me or any member of our dedicated team.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students. Together, we can help them thrive academically and beyond!
