A HUGE thank you to our Science Department for leading the charge with Tier 1! Your student engagement is exceptional, and your thoughtful planning and instruction are clearly reflected in the classroom. Your students are doing amazing things—the MAGIC is truly happening in the Hewes Science Department! Thank you - Mr.Cook, Ms.Cherbone, Mrs.Granito, Mr.Hollingshead, Ms.Karun, and Ms.Lockman.
Highlander for a Day is a recognition program at Hewes Middle School that celebrates students for incredible moments of Winning the Day the Highlander Way. Students are recognized for working hard, including others, never giving up, controlling their responses, choosing to act above the line, and taking extreme ownership of their 20 square feet. These are the habits and mindsets that shape our Highlander culture, and we are so proud to share them with our entire school community.
Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide campaign dedicated to promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyles for students and families. This year’s theme is “Life Is a Movie, Film Drug Free.” The theme reminds us that every day is a chance to make positive choices and write our own success story!
