PrincipalUpdate11/10/22

Dear LP Families,

Happy Thursday!

This newsletter comes a day early as there is no school tomorrow, Friday, November 11th in honor of Veteran's Day. Please scroll below to see a special dedication to our very own LP veterans!

This is not a newsletter to miss! There is important information around our new dismissal time, parent-teacher conferences, and our LP sponsored Spirit Wear sale! We know the holidays are coming and who wouldn't want their very own LP gear?! A special thank you to LP parent, Allison Pryor and Special Tees for organizing this opportunity! Keep scrolling to learn more about these events.

I hope you all enjoy the three day weekend!

Dr. Bello

This is the first of several reminders you will receive about a change we need to make regarding our dismissal time. We need to make a slight change by 5 minutes. If you are picking up your child from school, students will be released at 2:40pm. All students taking the bus will dismiss starting at 2:45pm.

Weekly Highlights! Weekly Highlights!

This week, it is important to highlight our own two veterans, Mr. Crocetti and Mr. Dubock. They not only served our country with distinction but continue to serve their community through their invaluable work at LP. Please join me in honoring them Friday and always.
Steve Crocetti, LP Head Custodian; Air Force- Sergeant
Dan Dubock, LP Cook Manager; Army Reserve- Private 1st Class
There will be no school, Friday, 11/11 in honor of Veteran's Day. Thank you to all who have served our country.
We are excited to share the AMAZING GOALS your child is accomplishing this year at LP! Please visit: https://forms.office.com/r/JwYhbSFf9t to schedule a time today!

Parent-Teacher Conferences!

Parent/teacher conferences will take place starting November 21st in the afternoon and on November 22nd. Please note for planning purposes, students will have a half day of school on 11/21 and no school on 11/22 to accommodate these conferences. We know many of you had an opportunity to sign up for a conference during Open House in October. If you were unable to attend or sign up for a conference, it's not too late! Please click on the link below to indicate your interest and the classroom teacher will be in touch with you to schedule a date and time for your parent/teacher conference. Let me know if you need any help with this!

Important! Parent Portal Information

In order to access information like transportation, report cards, iPad protection fees, etc., you will need to create a parent portal account.

How do I create a Parent Portal Account?

Parent Portal Instructions:

In order to create a parent portal account, you will need to have an email address on file with the district before you begin. If you do not already have an email address on file with the district you will need to call the main office of your student's school from a phone number associated with you and your student in order for them to update your information. If you have neither an email address nor phone number on file with the district, you will need to visit your student's main office in person.

  1. Visit www.eastiron.org, click on the Infinite Campus link, select Campus Parent and click the "Click here to request a parent portal activation key" link on the Campus Parent homepage. You may also choose to go directly to the URL below.
    https://ic.eastiron.monroe.edu/campus/portal/custom/requestActivation.jsp
  2. Enter the email address that you provided to the district in the box and click the "Submit" button.
  3. You will receive an email with your activation key.
