March is the month we come out of hibernation from the dark and cold of the winter months. The days are getting longer. Trees, plants, and flowers are beginning to bud and bloom. The weather is warming up allowing us time to step out into the fresh air and enjoy the activities and hobbies we love. It's a time for refocus and rejuvenation - a little spring cleaning might be the best way to think about it! We all have areas of our lives that we need to tend to that we put off. Take the month of March to reset, refocus, and move forward.

A Look At The State of Small Business in 2024
Thinking about starting a small business in 2024? Each year Guidant Financial produces an annual State of Small Business report that provides a comprehensive look into the lives of thousands of American small business owners (SBOs). In this year's 2024 Small Business Trends report, we see the focus of small business owners has shifted from hiring concerns to rising costs and inflation. A few other key highlights include:
- 77% of SBOs say their businesses will survive the current economy
- 65% of SBOs reported their businesses are profitable
- 52% of SBOs were financed using 401(k) business financing
- 41% of SBOs are focused on growth and expansion with expanding staff the top execution strategy at 24%
- 28% of SBOs started businesses because they were ready to be their own boss
- Millennial business owners grew by 27% over last year
