Message from Mr. Imbusch

Dear students and parents/guardians:

Thank you to all the parents who came out to our 'Back to School Night last night. It was wonderful to see so many of you. And thank you to the many students who volunteered their time to guide parents through the halls, and those who worked to fundraise for their clubs.

Walpole High School is launching the use of a new communication tool called TalkingPoints. TalkingPoints is a service that allows teachers to communicate with families by SMS text message in your preferred language.

When you receive your first message, you will get a chance to opt out of receiving messages from TalkingPoints. If you choose not to opt out, you will have three easy ways to use TalkingPoints to communicate with your student’s teachers for free: text messaging, downloading the TalkingPoints app, or using it on the web at TalkingPoints for Families.

In addition to this new communication tool, you can still always reach out to the school and teachers via phone, email or website.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Stephen Imbusch

Principal

Study Skills

This year, we are placing a strong emphasis on helping all our students develop effective study habits. As part of this effort, we have introduced assignment notebooks for our freshman students to assist them in organizing homework and tracking due dates. If any student has not yet received their assignment notebook, additional copies are available in the school office. A limited supply is also available for upperclassmen who may wish to use one.

Please note - pictures are taken during your English class! Please note - pictures are taken during your English class!

iDecide Opt Out Letter

All 9th -12th grade students will complete a very brief and confidential survey from Massachusetts General Hospital about substance use and mental health. This will take place Wednesday, October 2, 2023 at 1:39pm. The survey will take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete. Please see attached letters for more information and directions for if you would like your student to opt out.
