Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 3rd and 4th Grade Math Breakfasts. It was great to see all of our families in the building, enjoying quality time together.

Individual student i-Ready reports were sent home in Friday Folders a few weeks ago. If you did not receive your student's i-Ready report please reach out to your child's teacher.

Student book bags are coming home. These books are leveled on your student's reading level. Please encourage your child to read each night at home.

Parent/Teacher conference signups will be coming home soon from your child's teacher. Please make sure you sign up for a conversation about your child's progress.

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way. Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school.

Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from November 14th-18th. Students will have the opportunity to shop during their library specials class that week. Parents may shop with their child each morning 7:30am-8:00am, Thursday, Nov. 17th 4pm-7pm, and Friday, Nov. 18th 8am-12pm

This year, you can say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy. eWallet is optional.

If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

The 4th Grade Veterans Day Music Concert will take place on Thursday November 10th in the Southern Boone County Elementary School gym. There will be two different concerts at 2 different times on that evening.

Performance #1 – Ms. Rouse, Ms. Engemann, Ms. Holzschuh, Ms. Conley, and Ms. Fredrick’s classes will perform at 6 p.m. Please have your student at the Southern Boone Elementary gym at 5:50 p.m.

Performance #2 – Mr. Roebke, Mr. Naughton, Ms. Russell, and Ms. Ripperger’s classes will perform at 7 p.m. Please have your student at the Southern Boone Elementary gym at 6:50 p.m.

Elementary parent teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 17 from 4:00-7:00pm and Friday, November 18 from 8:00am-11:00am. Teachers will be sending home sign up information. Please be in touch with your student's teacher about your child's progress at school.

If your child will be picked up as a car rider, please use our elementary car rider lines for the safety of your student and others. Busses that travel down Renee are struggling to navigate safely through the cars and students. Our 3rd Grade pick up line is in front of the elementary. Our 4th grade pick up line is in the back of the elementary, using Redtail. Siblings of 4th graders will be escorted to 4th grade pick up line for dismissal. Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe!

• Birthday treats must be served AFTER lunch.
• Birthday treats cannot be homemade, they must have an ingredient label.

Transportation changes must be made through the office. Please email Diana Smith at dsmith@sbschools.us or call the office at 657-2145 before 2:30pm (1:30pm on Wed.) with any transportation changes. Students will be sent home their regular way if the office does not have a transportation change request from a parent.

Please notify the elementary school AND your child's daycare if there is a transportation change.
