Interested students should come Monday 12/11 to the Global Studies meeting Jawsome A in Mr. Dickson's room. This is open to both students already in the Global Studies program and students who hope to join the program in the future. Holiday House Making Holiday House Making

Both Creative Writing II: Global Outlook and our Sandscript writing club are getting into the holiday spirit!!! Sandscript members continued their annual tradition of making holiday houses for which they will write a story or long poem; the writing will be about the person or creature that lives in the house they built.

The Creative Writing II class has been studying different cultures since September and also has been learning about the wars raging in the world today. CW students built holiday houses that represent difficult cultures. As student Tripp Gill suggested, "This is our Village of Peace." Students will write either a story or long poem that will capture the holiday season in that country. Our Peace Village, as well as the Sandscript houses, will go on display very soon downstairs in front of our library. The display will showcase the houses, stories, and poems from both groups.
