Happy Snowy Friday!

Thank you so much for braving the roads and joining us today for lots of classroom celebrations! We appreciate our volunteers and your willingness to help us celebrate the holidays today and every day.

We wish you all a beautiful two weeks with your families and look forward to welcoming you back in the new year. I hope you find many opportunities to Spark Joy this holiday season for yourselves and your loved ones.

I am thrilled to share with you a "Save the Date!" You are invited to join us at Park Elementary on February 6 at 6:00pm to learn more about our new Bridges Math Curriculum and the Number Corner. Bring your Park student(s) with you to learn and explore math together! I'll be sharing more information down the road, but wanted you to get the date on your calendar today.

Once again, we wish you a wonderful two weeks and we'll see you soon!

Warmly,

Mrs. Stefanich

Some Things Might Take Me Longer and That's OKAY!

This is a great time to celebrate the progress we've made, and the plans we have to grow! Your journey doesn't need to be anyone else's journey, and the pace you are learning and growing is perfect for you. Remind your students that some things take longer to get the hang of, and that's no big deal!

Notes from Music Notes from Music

It was an enormous joy to be able to share our Park students' hard work and talents through the Park Holiday Program this year. I am so thankful that it happened even though we had a snow day. I’m proud of them and thankful for the opportunity to teach music at Park Elementary. I especially enjoy seeing them grow in leadership and making great character choices as we prepare and perform the Holiday Program each year. Click here for the WCET youtube link and to watch the Park 2024 Holiday Program. Have a merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.

Warmly,

Mr. Aaron Bouwman

If you would still like a DVD you are in luck. Please call the office the first week back of the New Year.

Student/Parent Elementary Handbook Student/Parent Elementary Handbook

Parents, please review our district wide Student/Parent Elementary Handbook. This is new this year and is full of great information that may answer many questions. Please take a look and let me know if you have any specific questions regarding this handbook. Some notable items are listed below:

  • Student dress code prohibits clothing promoting alcohol, violence, etc. Additionally, dress code prohibits bare midriffs, sides, or backs.
  • Cell phones and smart watches are not allowed at school. They need to be powered down and in backpacks during school hours.
  • School begins at 8:45 a.m.

  • Parent drop off: no earlier than 8:35 a.m.

  • School ends at 3:45 p.m.

  • Office hours: 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Doctors Note Anyone? Doctors Note Anyone?

Did you know that we accept doctors notes when your child returns from an appointment? If your child has an extended illness or attends an appointment and the absence is accompanied by a doctors note the absence will not be flagged as truant. Under Hudsonville Pubic School guidelines if a student is above a 10% ratio of absences at any point during the school year a truancy (attendance) letter will be sent home. A doctors note makes it so the absence is not counted as part of that 10%.
