Greenfield Elementary Gator Bite

Happy Friday! We are so close—winter break is just around the corner! With that being said, we still have a lot happening next week. First up is Spirit Week, so make sure your Gator dresses the part each day. Then on Friday we will have Donuts with Dad @7:30am, along with an early release at 11:55 AM.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend and maybe even get all of your holiday shopping done!

Our amazing 5th and 6th grade band students filled Gator Hall with holiday cheer last night ! Their hard work and festive spirit shined through every note, getting everyone into the holiday spirit. What a wonderful way to kick off the season—great job, musicians!

Introducing ParentSquare

We’re excited to announce that Gilbert Public Schools is launching ParentSquare as our new district-wide communication platform in January 2026. Our school will begin using ParentSquare in January 2026.

ParentSquare will bring school, district, and classroom communication into one place, simplifying our systems, improving consistency, and creating more opportunities for meaningful engagement across every school and classroom.

Starting after Winter Break, our families will begin receiving school and district messages via email, app, or text through ParentSquare. To activate your account, just download the free app so you can see all communications in one place and reply to messages, fill out forms, manage notification preferences, and more.

With ParentSquare, you’ll receive all school and classroom messages in one place and translated into your preferred language—whether by email, text, app, or web. You’ll also be able to:

• Stay up to date on news and events

• Send and receive messages with teachers and staff

• Fill out forms and permission slips

• Sign up for conferences and volunteer opportunities

• View calendar items and photos from your school

Parents and families are encouraged to download the free app so you can view all communications in one place, easily and efficiently; however, if you choose not to, you will still receive these communications via email and text.

Dear Parents and Families,

We are excited to share a special project in honor of our very first principal, Mr. Rimer, whose dedication and leadership helped shape our school community.

To celebrate his lasting impact, we will be creating a “Rimer Legacy Tree” display on our wall, along with a beautiful bench and a plaque in tribute to him. This meaningful space will serve as a lasting reminder of his commitment and love for our students, staff, and families.

We are reaching out to ask for your support through money donations to help bring this project to life. Contributions can be made in person or by mail at:

Greenfield Elementary
2550 E. Elliot Rd.
Gilbert, AZ 85234

Our goal is to complete the display soon so that Mr. Rimer can enjoy this heartfelt tribute.

In addition, we will be offering Legacy Leaves for purchase. These personalized leaves will hang on the Giving Tree for families who would like to make a donation in honor of Mr. Rimer or to commemorate their connection to our school. More information about the Legacy Leaves will be shared once the tree is in place.

Thank you, as always, for coming together as a school family to make wonderful things like this happen. Your generosity and support mean so much to us!
