Optional Summer Math Practice
Andover Public Schools has created a set of optional activities to support your student's math skills this summer. The Get Ready resources include a mix of printable and online assignments designed to review important concepts that will be needed for the grade they will be entering in the fall.
These are not required and will not be collected or graded but are a helpful way for students to continue math practice at their own pace.
MAP Growth- Reports Going home Tuesday,
June 10 with students
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We hope this message finds you well. As part of our ongoing efforts to monitor and support your student's academic progress, we recently completed the Spring MAP Growth (Measures of Academic Progress) Assessment.
We are pleased to share the family report with you, which provides information about your student’s performance. It serves as an excellent tool to understand your student’s academic strengths and areas for growth.
MAP Growth Assessment
The MAP Growth assessment provides achievement and growth percentiles that are nationally normed. The assessment provides immediate information about your student’s learning progress in Reading and Math. MAP Growth tests are unique and adapt to your student’s response. Questions fall within a RIT range (level of difficulty). Your student’s RIT score and other data sources are used to make instructional decisions when creating classroom lessons and supporting student learning and growth.
For more information about MAP growth, please visit www.aps1.net/page/nwea-map-assessment.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education.

Please note that the process for registering a grade 6 student for transportation has changed. Moving forward we will no longer use paper request forms; an online Google form is available on the APS website.

Fully charged computers to school every day
Please remind your student(s)
As we head into the final weeks of the school year, we want to share a friendly reminder about student devices.
Students are expected to bring their fully charged computers to school every day. While we know the end of the year can be a busy time, consistent access to their devices is still essential for their learning in the classroom.
You can really help us with this by reminding your student to charge their computer every night. This simple routine makes a big difference in ensuring they are prepared for class each day.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your student's education.

Who We Are & Stay Connected
“Who We Are”
Communication with our families is essential to the success and wellness of our students. To assist our families and help them connect with the appropriate staff who is best suited to answer questions, we have updated our “Who We Are” page on our website. The information will guide families to resources on how to reach staff with concerns and how to stay connected to news and events across the district.
