We're encouraging everyone - especially children and others at higher risk - to protect themselves and their loved ones from flu this season by getting a flu vaccine. Currently, flu activity is elevated in our own community and across the county and there is still time to benefit from the first and most important action in preventing flu illness and potentially serious flu complications: get a flu vaccine!

In addition to the info below regarding where to obtain a flu vaccine, Visionary Vaccines will offer them at Central Office today from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Beginning on January 12th, 2023, your school WGMail.org account will require the use of multi-factor authentication or MFA. MFA is a technology safeguard to protect accounts from unauthorized access. Some other names for MFA are two-factor authentication (2FA) or 2-step verification (2SV).

You may already be using this technology with your bank, insurance company, or other online services. One common implementation of MFA is to login with a username and password along with a text message code to authenticate access. You can enable MFA on your Google account at any time.

Beginning January 12th, you will not be able to login until MFA is enabled. Once you have signed on with MFA enabled, you may be periodically prompted to re-verify access. MFA re-verification is infrequent and not required daily. If you have any questions, please reach out to your building Technology Specialist.

In preparation for the extreme cold temps that are forecasted this week we are asking for help from all staff.

Teachers and Nurses: In your office or classroom please do the following. Please ensure that windows are closed and secured before leaving for break. Open cabinet doors below sinks. Leave doors to classroom/office restrooms open. Leave hallway doors open, if they can be propped open.

Custodians: Verify hallway windows are closed and secured. Check exterior doors as always. Prop open restroom doors to hallways.

Through a generous donation, the Little Theater at WGHS is undergoing a complete demolition and a new building will be built, which will feature a new multipurpose performance center that will provide new opportunities for students and staff.

Administrators and staff members along with a team of design professionals have been providing input during the design phase of the project.

Demolition is wrapping up and will be followed by construction of the new and improved learning and performing space to be named after benefactor and alumna Barbara Frick, class of 1956 and former teacher in the district.
