Mr. Covert's Musings
As we head into the Thanksgiving Holiday, I just want to take a minute to give thanks to our awesome parents and community!
Thank you for all of your support, dedication, and service to our school community. You are always willing to support your student, our teachers/staff, and our various clubs and organizations. Much of the work that we are able to accomplish is in partnership with parents/community members, and for that I am grateful! I'm thankful for being a part of this wonderful school and community.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
Seniors: It's Cap and Gown Ordering Time!
Senior parents, it's time for your student to order their cap and gown!
Please visit Hereford’s Josten’s School store to purchase your class of 2026 cap and gown. Please note that only the “cap and gown unit” are required for graduation. All other packages and additions are optional.
Please have all orders completed by the end of the quarter, January 16th, so we have time to cross-reference purchases and ensure all seniors receive a cap and gown. If you have questions, please reach out to the senior class advisors, Brittney Beer or Sarah Looney.

HHS College & Career Fair
The annual HHS College & Career Fair happened last week. It was an awesome opportunity for our students to meet with over 50 representatives from various colleges, trades, business and military. Our students were engaged and excited to speak with these reps!
History & Art Come to Life, One Pot At A Time!
Mr. Robinson and Mr. Grace are collaborating to bring history to life in our AP African American Studies classes. Thanks to a grant from the Education Foundation of BCPS, our students are creating resistance pots in the style of David Drake. I was in the class the other day, and was impressed to see the works in process. The students did an awesome job!
