Google Keep - Online Sticky Notes

If you're a big fan of making lists and addicted to Apple's Stickies, I highly recommend that you check out Google Keep. Google Keep is essentially virtual sticky notes. You can color code them, add checkboxes, and insert photos into any note. Because Google Keep is web-based, you can create or add to your list on any device, at any time. It is tied to your Google account, so logging in is easy.

Check out this article to read about 6 ways that Google Keep can benefit you!

D64 Social Media Guidelines

More and more staff members are using social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, etc. to promote the happenings in their classroom, which is GREAT! I thought it might be beneficial to share out the D64 Social Media Guidelines, which outlines personal and professional responsibilities when posting on social media. If you have any further questions about these guidelines or how to get started on social media, please let me know.

Makerspace Materials Drive

District 64 is hosting its first family "maker" night on Wednesday (see below for more information) and is also planning to open makerspaces at the schools in coming months. To help students turn their ideas into reality, the district is looking for donations of rolls of duct tape and masking tape, and construction or colored paper. Markers, crayons, colored pencils, child-safe scissors, and miscellaneous craft supplies (such as glue, pipe cleaners, etc.) are also welcomed. Supplies may be dropped off during school hours at any school office or to the ESC.
