Welcome to the Elev-eight, our weekly newsletter for 8th grade! Be sure to check here for all the important news and updates for your 8th grader.
In Science, students are starting Molecules, Compounds, and Mixtures.
Starting on August 31, students will need to bring a book to read each day in class. Students are encouraged to check out a book from our library or bring one from home as part of our daily independent reading. Next week, we will start the skills assessment and vocabulary quiz on Monday. We will begin the second half of our suspense unit on Tuesday.
Social Studies classes are working to understand the influence of diverse regional, social, ethnic, and racial groups on the development of North Carolina and the nation, including the contributions of women and Indigenous people.
In Math, students are working with Sequences of Transformations and Congruence.
