Welcome to Icenhower! Welcome to Icenhower!

The elders in my family always told me that "time flies". As a child, I felt that the days dragged on endlessly-especially when I was greatly anticipating a milestone event. Now that I am significantly older, I realize exactly what they meant. It seems like I blinked, and summer was over. We just said goodbye to the 20-21 school year and are now quickly approaching 21-22.

With this year, I know there is anxiety. There are a lot of "what ifs". There are unknowns and certainties. There is relief for some and fear for others. Regardless of where you are, know that your Husky family has your back. We are here to support you and your child, and we promise that we will do everything in our power to help make you all feel safe, valued, appreciated, and heard. We want you to be involved, because the school cannot live apart from the community. This weekly newsletter will always keep you "In the Know".

So as you prepare to send your 5th or 6th grader to our campus, remember to cherish every moment with them. Take those "back to school" pictures. Give them a kiss. Tell them "I love you" as they leave the house or exit the car. Remember, it goes by quickly.

    Let's have an amazing year!

    Love,

    Mrs. Thomas

ICE CAMP 2021 ICE CAMP 2021

We had an amazing time welcoming our new Huskies to the pack! We had over 250 people in attendance! Our students learned how to open a locker, took a tour of the building, reviewed expectations, met lots of new friends and teachers, and were officially made huskies by ending the day with the "Husky Howl"! See you on Thursday, August 12th for Meet the Teacher!

    2021-22 Registration Information-OPEN NOW!

Registration will take place online starting May 1, 2021 for new students. Registration will take place online starting July 19, 2021 for returning students.

In an effort to streamline the registration process and reduce paperwork, Mansfield ISD is once again implementing an Online Registration option through Skyward Family Access for returning students.

All students who attended Mansfield ISD in the 2020-2021 school year are highly encouraged to complete the Returning Student Online Registration and provide proof of residency prior to the start of school in order to streamline the process.

You may access the returning student online registration by logging into Family Access via the following link:

    https://skywardsis.mansfieldisd.org/scripts/wsisa.dll/WService=wsEAplus/fwemnu01.w

*Please be sure to select the RETURNING STUDENT ONLINE REGISTRATION button once logged into Family Access. (NOTE: The NEW STUDENT ONLINE ENROLLMENT is only for students who did not finish the 2020-2021 school year at ANY Mansfield ISD campus.)

If you are unable to do an online enrollment please contact either the office or Melissa Guerra to make an appointment. 817-299-2700 or melissaguerra@misdmail.org. Appointments can be made from 9:00 -3:30 Mondays through Thursdays.

Proof of Residency can be emailed to Icenhower_POR@misdmail.org. If you need to submit a paper copy, please make an appointment through the front office using the above contact information. Visitors will not be allowed to enter the building without an appointment.

    Proof of Residency Requirements

PLEASE NOTE: Each campus has their own email address, so if you have multiple students at different campuses, you will need to send a separate POR to each campus’ email.

    Satisfactory proof of residence includes:

Electric, Gas, or Water Bill – with May service dates or later
Newly Established Residency in last 30 days includes:

    Lease Agreement
The lease agreement may be acceptable if it is new (30 days or less).
Is used when you do not have a utility bill and the lease states bills are paid by lessor.
Other documentation may be requested when a utility bill is not available.
The lease agreement must list the student occupants.

Any of the above forms of proof of residency utilized by MISD residents must show a service address. Lease agreements must show a beginning and ending date and the address of the property with signatures from both the lessor and lessee. Families who have a contract on a home that will close within 45 days of the beginning of school, will need to confer with Student Services on applicable Board Policies and guidelines for enrollment. Failure to provide the necessary documentation may result in enrollment delays or withdrawal from school.
