Dear Little School Families,

It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner! The weather looks beautiful this week, which means our students will be enjoying plenty of outdoor recess time before the holiday break.

As we head into this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to say how thankful I am to have joined this incredible school community. The warmth, kindness, and support I’ve experienced from students, families, and staff have made this a truly special place to be.

Please keep an eye out for two upcoming items:

• Parent-Teacher Conference sign-ups will be shared this Friday.

• Our annual Holiday Food Basket Drive benefiting the North Reading Food Pantry will be starting soon, more details to come on how you can help make the season brighter for local families.

In preparation for the first-trimester report card electronic distribution on Monday, December 9th, we need to ensure that all families have an active and up-to-date Parent PlusPortal for their student(s).

Please note: You must have an active Parent PlusPortal account in order to access your child(ren)’s report card.

New Accounts

For new families to our school and to those who did not activate an account last school year, Mrs. Tavoletti has been sending emails to you with information to activate and login to your account. These emails are generated from our student management system from the email addresses that you provided on the Student Emergency Contact Form that was completed at the start of the school year. If you cannot locate that email, please contact Mrs. Tavoletti.

Existing Accounts

For those of you who already have an account for the Parent PlusPortal, please take some time before December 9th to reacquaint yourself with the ParentPlus Portal "E Locker" to ensure that you are able to login and view your student(s) portal. This is where you will be able to view your student(s) report card beginning on December 8th. We highly recommend that you access the portal prior to the conferences (scheduled for December 10th and 11th), to review the report card and use it to guide your conversation with your child(ren)'s classroom teacher during conferences.

If you have forgotten your login information or password, there are prompts on the login page to reset your password. If after following the prompts you are still unable to access the Parent PlusPortal, please contact the office at your convenience.

On Friday November 21st we will have our 2nd All School Morning Meeting (Kids only). We will be discussing more ways we can demonstrate the pillars of caring and trustworthiness and revealing our new school motto!! We will have these all school morning meetings monthly.

This will also be a school spirit day!

Students are invited to wear Little School or Green and Gold attire!

The season of giving is upon us. Give the gift of a smile to those less fortunate.

The E.E. Little School, in partnership with the North Reading Fire Department, will be accepting new UNWRAPPED toy donations at the Little School from November 17th-December 12, 2025.

The Elementary School Challenge is on as each school will strive to get 20% of the student population to participate on race day. Hope to see lots of Little School Labs registering!

There will be NO YMCA AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM on Wednesday November 26th. It is na early release for all students and staff. Please be sure to let Mrs. Tavoletti know your students dismissal plan.

You're invited to support our staff! Grade level sponsored meals are back this year and we've assigned each grade a month. When it is your grade's turn, we'll be reaching out for donations (big or small) to treat our staff to a delicious meal and show our appreciation for their hard work all year long! We're starting in November with our Third Grade Families!
