Every Child, Every Day. Every Child, Every Day.

Thank you for actively participating in creating our staff norms this week. As we discussed in our staff meeting, building collective efficacy is the most important thing we can do as a staff to increase our student achievement. Together we can do anything!

Our staff norms are listed below. It is important that we hold each other accountable for following these norms. When we are having a bad moment or a bad day, we count on others to support us. Our students need us to be positive and to be problem-solvers.

CONGRATULATIONS!

We would like to send our best wishes to Jessica Brickman who is getting married on October 29th! She will now be Mrs. Gaytan and will be going on her honeymoon immediately following the wedding. We wish you all the best as you build your new life together as husband and wife!

Jessica will have a replacement during her time off so services will continue while she is celebrating and relaxing.

THANK YOU--AGAIN!

I can't thank all of you enough for another big surprise on Monday morning. What a lovely basket full of all my favorite goodies. You have all done way too much with only 6 weeks completed in the school year. I'm so thankful to be a part of this staff. It feels like home, and I hope that you can feel that my commitment level to all of you, our students, and our families is through the roof. We are doing the hard work, and we are making progress. It's now my turn to spoil you--stay tuned! Again, THANK YOU!

Kindness Club

Sign-up for the Kindness Club is closed. Melaina and Sarah are ready to get started! Please plan to send students on Nov. 2nd during the time when they eat lunch.

Night Cleaning

We are aware of the cleaning issues that are occurring during the 2nd shift. Let's do our part and ensure that all paper, scraps, scissors, and pencils are picked up from the floor so that vacuuming can be quick and easy for our custodial staff. Chairs should be put up on the tables/desks as well. There is a lot to clean, and having our students help in this process will build good citizens and help us put our P2 into practice! Thank you for your patience and help with this!

Professional Growth Goal/Monthly Check-Ins

Thank you to everyone that has scheduled a monthly check-in with me. I look forward to reviewing your goals with you and identifying how I can support you with your learning process this year. These meetings also allow me to stay caught up on all the amazing activities that are happening in your room and help me get to know your students. I am working to learn more about our students, and these conversations help a great deal.

As you enter your professional learning goal into observation this year, don't forget to remove anyone that has left the district and add me to your discussion. This will allow me to see and comment on your goal(s).
