Our Ninja Cougar Challenge is TOMORROW!!
What a great few weeks we have had, getting ready for tomorrow’s event with Ninja Nation! We hope that you and your kids have enjoyed it all as well. Tomorrow, please be sure that your child wears closed toed shoes (NO Crocs), their orange school shirt (which may still be at school, if the teacher didn’t send it home), and brings a water bottle. Parents are encouraged to come watch and cheer on your little ninjas, so please check the schedule above to see when they will be competing.
If you haven’t signed the Ninja Nation waiver yet, please do so HERE . Ninja Nation is very strict on not allowing students to compete if they have not signed the waiver.
Thank you so much for all of your generous support so far! We are SO CLOSE to our goal of $30,000, and we know we can do it in our final days! The fundraiser will remain open until 9/28 and we will happily accept donations after the event. Don’t forget to see if your employer is on the list for Employer Matching to double your generosity!
Kona Ice
As a celebration for a job well done, Kona Ice will be at CME after school on Friday. Treat your ninjas to a cold snow cone to start our three day weekend off right!
Fundraiser Fund Survey Results
We are so excited to announce that the money that we earn from the Ninja Cougar Challenge will be bringing a brand new STEM Lab to Copper Mesa!! Thanks to 2nd Grade teacher, Mrs DeLeon, for putting together an amazing proposal (have a look HERE), and thanks to everyone who voted on it! As you can see, this option won with an overwhelming 75% of the vote, and we are thrilled! Truly EVERY student will get to benefit from this, for years to come, so thank you to EVERYONE who has contributed to our fundraiser this year! We will keep you posted as we bring this exciting new addition to life!
Staff Scoop at Cold Stone
Don’t forget to come see your teachers and staff members scoop and mix your favorite creations at Cold Stone on Monday, all while giving back to Copper Mesa! Mark your calendars for September 29th, from 4-7pm. We will receive 20% of all sales, and 80% of all tips, so let’s tip generously! From 4-5pm you will see Mrs Higgins, Mrs Broomhead, Mrs Feinstein and Mrs Walp; from 5-6pm you will see Ms Ohmart and Mrs Feltz; from 6-7pm you will see Mrs Wain, Mrs Wells and Mrs Lagodney. Enjoy!!
In-N-Out Truck
We were lucky to be selected to host the In-N-Out Truck again this year! This is an amazing fundraiser for us, where they give us 75% of the profits, and donate the remainder to their charity for underprivileged children. We hope you'll join us on October 2nd, from 5-7pm to enjoy some dinner and hang with your friends and neighbors! You MUST pre-order a ticket, which you can do HERE. For $8 you will get a burger or cheeseburger, chips and a drink. They are served as is, unless there is an allergy. We need to give them a head count a week before the event, so ticket sales will END on 9/29 (they extended the date by a few days for us). Bring some chairs or a blanket, hang with your neighbors and friends and enjoy!
Fall Conferences
Fall Conferences are coming up the week of October 5th, and we always like to make sure our teachers and staff are taken care of and stay nourished. If you are able to bring in a food item, or help set up or clean up in the lounge, please check out the sign up HERE. We appreciate your help in keeping our teachers happy while they work so hard to meet with every single one of us!
Son Event
Our Son Event committee is working hard to bring us a super fun event to enjoy some quality time with our boys. We will be welcoming Nerf Turf to Copper Mesa, a company that facilitates fun and safe nerf wars inside the school! Save the date for November 7th, from 4-6pm. Tickets will be $20 for the first son/parent pair, and $10 per additional son. Boys must be 5 years old to participate. There will be a food truck to enjoy afterwards, if you’d like to stay and hang a little longer (we are working on selecting a good one!). Tickets will be available via MySchoolBucks soon!
October PTO Meeting
We hope you can join us for our next PTO meeting, on October 7th at 7pm. The link to join is HERE. We will be discussing the success of the fundraiser, ideas for next year, upcoming events, spirit nights and more. See you there!
KING SOOPERS CARDS
One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.
