Cell Phones

Please remind your students to keep their cell phones away during class. Cell phones are a HUGE distraction for all of us and they are especially distracting to teens. Our job at school is to educate children and the entertainment they get from their cell phones should happen outside of their education. Please reinforce this at home.

Dress Code & Supply Reminders Dress Code & Supply Reminders

Unlike some elementary schools, high school students don't need a specific supply list. We recommend starting with a sturdy backpack, a couple of notebooks, folders, and pens/pencils. Be sure to know where your chromebook and chromebook charger are so you are ready for day one.

Also, a quick reminder to review our dress code below:

  • Students must wear appropriate clothing that is free from lewd content. Lewd and inappropriate content includes profanity, sexual innuendo, references to drugs and alcohol, references to weapons and violence, etc.
  • Skirts, dresses, shorts, and pants must completely cover the buttocks and undergarments may not be visible.
  • Sunglasses must be removed once you have entered the building.
  • Students may wear medical face masks if they have concerns for their health.
  • Students may wear a hat or hood.
  • Students may not wear a face mask combined with a hat/hood. Balaclavas (ski masks) are prohibited for this reason, with the exception of religious clothing worn on a consistent basis.

Dr. Parris - 10th and 12th Grades

Welcome back to an exciting new school year at Pottstown Senior High School! I am thrilled to welcome our 10th and 12th graders back to campus for our first quarter. To the Class of 2027, a massive congratulations on entering your final year of high school! Having had the privilege of serving as your Dean of Students/ House Principal since your freshman year, watching you grow, overcome challenges, and mature over the past four years has been one of the highlights of my career. Let’s make this final chapter your strongest one yet, setting a powerful example for our sophomores as they step into leadership roles within our building.

To make the most of this quarter, I encourage every student to get involved in our clubs, sports, and school activities, but remember that academic focus comes first. One of our biggest priorities this year is minimizing distractions: keeping cell phones put away during class time is essential for staying fully present and reaching your potential. Time moves remarkably fast—especially during senior year—so slow down, cherish these moments, and build positive memories with your peers. Please remember that my door is always open if you ever need academic support, guidance, or just someone to talk to. Let’s have a fantastic first quarter!

Mrs. Sparrow-Noecker - 9th and 11th Grades

Welcome back, everyone! As your 9th and 11th grade House Principal, I can’t wait to get this school year rolling. To our freshmen, welcome to high school, and to our juniors, welcome back—it's great to see you again! We want to make sure every student thrives this year, and that starts with a few simple habits: coming to school ready every single day, keeping an eye on your grades through PowerSchool, and putting cell phones away during class time so everyone can stay fully engaged. Parents and guardians, we love having you as partners in your student’s learning, so be sure to check PowerSchool together weekly.

We also have some awesome fall traditions right around the corner, including the Homecoming Dance and our Q1 PBIS Flag Football Game! To be eligible for these events, students must keep their grades up, avoid suspensions, and keep office referrals under 5—though our goal for everyone is a completely clean slate with zero referrals! Take full advantage of Learn time to check in with your teachers and finish assignments so you don't miss out. Let's make this year our best one yet!

A Brand New Year!

Dear Trojan Families,

Welcome to the start of a brand-new school year! As I walk through our halls, the energy and anticipation across our campus are palpable, and our entire faculty and staff are thrilled to welcome back our returning families and extend a warm greeting to those joining us for the first time. High school is a transformative chapter marked by rapid intellectual growth, independence, and memorable milestones. Whether your student is taking their first steps as a freshman or preparing for their final year as a senior, our dedicated team is fully committed to providing a safe, engaging, and rigorous environment where every young person feels valued, challenged, and supported.

To make the most of this environment, our top priority this year is ensuring consistent, daily attendance, with a goal for every student to be in school at least 95% of the time. Our faculty has developed exceptional academic courses, hands-on programs, and rich extracurricular opportunities, but we simply cannot deliver this high-quality education if our students are not here in person. Missing just two days a month adds up quickly, creating gaps in learning and weakening a student's connection to our school community. Every instructional day matters, and we need our kids sitting in front of us each morning so we can actively guide, inspire, and support them toward their full potential.

A strong partnership between home and school is the cornerstone of student achievement, and that connection extends well beyond our front doors. Our administration team doesn't just work here, we live right here in the community alongside you. You will regularly see us cheering in the stands at sporting events, attending local community gatherings, and supporting our students across all their passions. As your family navigates the transition into this new school year, please know that our doors are open and we are here to support you in any way we can. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education, and let us work together to make this year an exceptional experience for everyone.
