Principal Points

Dear Roosevelt Families,

What a year it has been! As we reach the final days of the school year, the light at the end of the tunnel is finally in sight. While summer excitement is certainly in the air, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our entire Roosevelt community.

First and foremost, thank you for your support, patience, partnership, and grace throughout this year. As we begin to bring this year to a close, I am incredibly thankful for the trust you place in us each day by entrusting your children to our care. Serving as the principal of Roosevelt Elementary has been both an honor and a privilege, and I am deeply grateful to have been given the opportunity to be part of such a special school community.

Our Roosevelt Tigers are truly remarkable young people. Their curiosity, resilience, kindness, and growth have inspired me every day. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them, learning alongside them, and celebrating their accomplishments throughout the year. I will miss their smiling faces and joyful energy this summer!

I am also continually amazed by the dedication and commitment of our staff. Every day, they pour their hearts into creating meaningful learning experiences, supporting students, and building a positive school community. Their care for children and one another is something I witness daily, and I am incredibly grateful for all they do.

As summer begins, I hope your family enjoys time together creating lasting memories. Whether you're spending time at the Livonia Spree, riding bikes through the neighborhood, enjoying a favorite local ice cream shop, traveling across Michigan or beyond, or simply relaxing at home, I hope your days are filled with sunshine, laughter, and opportunities to reconnect with those you love.

As we begin planning for next fall, if your child will be moving or attending a school outside of Livonia Public Schools next year, please notify our school secretary, Heather Pac Silcox. This helps us ensure that student records are prepared appropriately and allows us to accurately plan for enrollment and staffing needs.

Thank you again for making my first year at Roosevelt so memorable. I am grateful for the relationships we have built, the challenges we have overcome together, and the many successes we have celebrated along the way. It has been a wonderful year, and I look forward to welcoming our Tigers back in the fall.

Have a safe, relaxing, and joy-filled summer!🌴🍉⛳🏊🏻‍♂️😎

With Tiger Pride,

Mrs. Samouelian

Tigers on the Run and Bubble Run Tigers on the Run and Bubble Run

Thank you to our PTA and parent volunteers for supporting Tigers on the Run! This program would not have been possible without your time, dedication, and support.

A special thank-you to our Roosevelt PTA for making it possible for students to earn charms throughout the program and celebrate their accomplishments with Kona Ice. This year, 313 students completed 5 miles or more, earning the opportunity to participate in the Bubble Run and enjoy Kona Ice. We had an amazing time celebrating their hard work!

Congratulations to our top three runners:

  • Maverick B. (2nd Grade) – 73.75 miles
  • Benjamin (3rd Grade) – 70.25 miles
  • Kora (3rd Grade) – 62 miles

We would also like to recognize our entire first-grade class, where every student completed 5 miles or more—what an incredible accomplishment!

We are so proud of all our runners for their dedication, perseverance, and enthusiasm. Thank you for making this year's Tigers on the Run a tremendous success. We can't wait to do it again next year!
