The Muraski Tribune: Issue 2
Back to School Information
Attention Muraski Families
It looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend, as we enter the homestretch of Summer Break, and begin getting ready for the 25-26 school year. The staff will be back in the building in the upcoming week, and we will be working hard to be ready for an amazing school year, where we have the privilege of serving the students and families that make Muraski such a wonderful place.
Please take a look at the information below, as there are items related to school supplies, the supply drop off night, Kindergarten Orientation, and class lists. Also, if you are able to, log into PowerSchool and take the steps to fill out your forms.
Sincerely,
Mike Griffen
Principal of Muraski Elementary
Looking for Part-Time Work?
We are currently in the process of trying to fill a Lunch & Recess Monitor position. The hours are 11:00-1:30, so if you have the availability, it fits very nicely into a schedule with school-age students. If you are interested, please visit a link HERE or Click the Button Below. On the page it would be the Aide Monitor Position for Muraski.
CLASS LISTS POSTED
Class lists will be available through Power School on Monday, August 11th. This is how you will identify who will be your child's homeroom teacher.
- In grades K-3 students will receive all of their core instruction with their homeroom teacher.
- In Grade 4, your child will be on one of two teams, Mrs. Tedeschi (Math & SS) & Ms. Dudra (ELA & Science) or Mrs. Cipriani (Math & SS) & Ms. Brush (ELA & Science).
- In Grade 5, your child will have a homeroom teacher, but they will see all three teachers for their core subjects, Mrs. Herron (ELA), Mrs. Laub (Math), and Mrs. Pasko (Science & SS).
Open House & Supply Drop - Grades 1-5
Below, you will see a flier inviting ALL families with students in grades 1-5 to a supply drop and open house at Muraski on Wednesday, August 13th. We ask that you try to adhere to the times slated based on your last name, as parking is limited at our building.
Sensory Friendly Option
This year, we are excited to offer an option for students and families who would benefit from a sensory friendly environment for the supply drop which will be held from 4:30-5:00. This is designed for those students/families to have an environment that is more calm and more quiet with less people in the hallways and classrooms at the time of drop off. Please only use this option if it is beneficial and necessary for your child and/or family.
Nurse Availability
A district nurse will be at our building during the Open House/Supply Drop for you to drop off medication and fill out necessary paperwork for your child throughout the school year. This includes inhalers, epipens, and other medication or supplies that will be administered throughout the year.
