Dear Parents and Families,

We have many exciting events on the horizon!

As we approach our annual PTA sponsored Trick or Treat event this week, I want to remind everyone to join us for a spooktacular time!

  • PTA will collect bags of individually wrapped candy through Wednesday!
  • Students or parents may drop off candy in the collection box in the front office.
  • The event will take place this Friday, October 25th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM in the gym.
  • We encourage all of our students to come in their favorite costumes and bring their trick-or-treat bag or bucket!
  • Please remind students to dress in their HOUSE color on Friday October 25th during the school day.

Additionally, we have a four day week coming up (no school on November 1st). Students are encouraged to dress up according to the theme of the day as we acknowledge Red Ribbon Week at MRE. Please see the details below!

Please mark your calendars for November 7th! The Children's Museum of Houston will be back at MRE for our MATH Title I Night! This is event is free for our MRE families. You won't want to miss it.

Have an amazing week!

YMCA Before & After School Care- On Site at MRE

The Y makes the most of a child’s after school time by offering active learning opportunities designed to engage and expand young minds. Housed in local schools, YMCA After School Care gives children the opportunity to participate in active play and collaborate on fun projects. But YMCA After School programs are more than child care. They offer a path with a purpose. Students engage in a variety of structured activities that promote positive social interactions, indoor and outdoor play and reinforce academic learning concepts, as well as lessons in empathy, inclusion and service learning.
