PTA Information
Join PTA
Joining the PTA doesn’t mean you’re signing up to volunteer every week or take on more than your schedule allows. A PTA membership is simply a way to support our school and the opportunities it provides for students.
Your membership helps fund family events, teacher support, student programs, and other experiences that make school more engaging and enjoyable. Whether you can volunteer often, occasionally, or not at all, your membership still makes a meaningful impact.
If you’re looking for an easy way to support Stewart, joining the PTA is a great place to start. Join here: https://stewart.givebacks.com/shop/items/d9dbe100c49cc8
Our next PTA meeting is September 1st at 10 am. All are welcome! See this link for the agenda, past meeting minutes, and more info: https://tinyurl.com/2026StewartPTA
Volunteering and Background Checks
Construction Update
As you are aware, there is a significant amount of construction taking place around our school. We have been informed that this work will continue during the month of September. During this time, we are asking for everyone’s cooperation and patience as we work together to keep our students, families, and staff safe while arriving at and leaving school.
Whenever possible, we strongly encourage students to walk to and from school rather than being dropped off or picked up by car.
If driving is necessary, please follow these temporary traffic procedures:
- All vehicles should enter the school parking lot from the north.
- When exiting the parking lot, vehicles must turn south (right turn only). We are unable to accommodate left turns out of the parking lot at this time.
- Please avoid making a left turn from Main Street into the school parking lot. Due to the construction, this will be very difficult and may create significant traffic congestion.
- If you are driving your student and cannot use the designated traffic pattern, please park on a nearby side street or at the LDS Church south of Chase Lane and walk from there using a safe route.
- Students are welcome to use the Kidde Walk in the west of the school (1200 North) to arrive and leave.
These temporary restrictions will continue as needed during construction.
We know these changes may require some extra time and planning, and we greatly appreciate your patience, cooperation, and flexibility. By following these procedures, we can help reduce congestion and, most importantly, ensure that everyone arrives at and leaves school safely.
Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe!

Make It Matter - Effort Matters
This month, we’re focusing on the power of effort! At Stewart Elementary, we know that success doesn’t always mean getting it right the first time—it means trying, learning, and trying again. We’ll celebrate perseverance, encourage a growth mindset, and recognize students who show outstanding effort. When we give our best, we Make It Matter!
Save Your Pull Tabs
Way to go, Stewart Stars! A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Stewart families and students for donating pull tabs to the Ronald McDonald House. Ms Yoho had the opportunity to deliver your generous donation, and they were so grateful for your support!
The pull tabs are recycled, and the recycling company matches the donation to help provide meals and other support for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House during difficult times. This kindness truly makes a difference.
Now let’s set a new goal… Can we fill TWO tubs this year? Keep those pull tabs coming, Stewart Stars! Together, we can Make It Matter!
