Over the next few weeks you will be hearing and seeing more information about Fulton County Schools’ next Capital Plan and the projects that will improve our school. On 10/30/26, we are sharing printed information in your child’s Friday Folder and backpack that explains the investments being made throughout the school district as well as what the one-penny sales tax for education, ESPLOST, has been doing for our students – such as the student devices and classroom technology that has transformed our learning environment. Capital Plan 2032 continues these investments for our school and also includes: [personalize using your school info from cluster sheet]. On November 3, 2026, Fulton citizens will vote on whether or not to continue ESPLOST as the funding source for the

projects in Capital Plan 2032. Fulton County Schools has created a special webpage about Capital Plan 2032 and ESPLOST at www.fultonschools.org/ESPLOST. We encourage you to visit that page to view information about our school’s specific projects as well as general information about districtwide improvements

Supporting Your Child's Reading at Home | IES

Learning to read begins at home through everyday parent-child interactions, long before children attend school. Your continued support of literacy development throughout elementary school positively affects your child's reading ability. We are pleased to provide these Family Activities with easy-to-follow instructions to help your child practice foundational reading skills. We invite you to view the short Family Videos for tips on how to use the activities to help your child grow as a reader. Using the Family Activities at home can help your child develop language, link sounds to letters, blend letters and word parts to read and write words and read for understanding.

Well, our scholars have been doing quite well for the first couple of months of school; however, we need them to be able to do their BEST! Their best can't be achieved without a little assistance from our parents and guardians. Don't forget to help them do their very best by making sure that they get their rest by going to bed at an appropriate time, eating healthier meals and snacks, spending extra time studying, and arriving to school on time and prepared. All of these things, as well as a few words of encouragement each morning, will help our scholars to always do their very best! GO PATRIOTS!!

This week, students will focus on respect and how their words, actions, and choices can help others feel valued and safe. They will practice showing respect through kindness, listening, appropriate communication, and positive behavior. Families can reinforce this lesson by talking with children about what respect looks like at home, at school, and in the community and by encouraging them to make respectful choices even when they disagree with others.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month at LPES! Families are invited to help us celebrate kindness and unity by having students wear ORANGE for Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21. We will also celebrate Red Ribbon Spirit Week from October 26–30 with activities encouraging strong choices and strong character. Together, we can teach our Patriots to be kind, include others, and speak up safely against bullying!

We are proud to bring back our partnership with Chris180, one of the area's premiere mental health, child welfare and family service organizations, in empowering families and helping children overcome difficulties they may face. If you feel that your child may benefit from a deeper therapeutic interaction, please contact me for more information regarding their free services for our scholars.

Clicking here will take you to my webpage, which provides information about the counseling services at Liberty Point Elementary, as well as some resources you can use at home. Please check the webpage often as it is updated periodically to include new resources and information gathered throughout the school year. If you would like to contact me, please feel free to send an email or call me directly at (470)254-9657.
