The Weekly Words
May 10, 2026
At Noble Elementary, we believe that every student has the right to learn and grow in a safe and respectful environment. We also believe that every student has the power to make positive choices, learn from mistakes, and become stronger leaders in our school community. Noble Elementary empowers all students for college and career readiness through AVID’s schoolwide focus on WICOR, student success skills, and a growth mindset.
Dear moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, neighbors, and friends - we wish you a Happy Mother's Day! Your unwavering strength, love, and encouragement inspire our students to achieve their dreams and we are so grateful for all that you do. Let's take a moment to show our appreciation for the incredible women who make our lives so much brighter. A mother’s love can be regarded as the most selfless, kind, and unconditional love. It is one of the purest forms of love, and there are very few words that can clearly define its value or meaning. We recognize and celebrate our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and all the women who make a positive impact in our lives each day!
Channeling the Energy
Team,
As we transition from this weekend of celebration into our final three weeks of school, we want to acknowledge the unique energy of this season. This is an incredibly exciting and eventful time filled with milestones, yet we also recognize that the end-of-year "finish line" often brings a natural sense of anxiety and stress for students, families, and staff alike. This pressure can sometimes lead to tension, which is why it is more important than ever that we lean into the spirit of community.
How we treat one another, speak to one another, and interact during these final weeks truly makes the difference. Let’s all be mindful of how we channel our energy into the Noble community, choosing to respond with the same kindness and patience we are celebrating this Mother’s Day. By supporting one another through the stress, we ensure that our school remains a safe, positive, and joyful place for our students to close out their year. We are in this together, and we look forward to finishing these last three weeks strong as a united Noble family.
Mr. Walker, M.Ed.
Principal
From the Assistant Principal's Desk
Hi Team,
Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all our wonderful Noble mothers and mother-figures! Last week’s "Noble by the Numbers" shows we are dangerously close to our OnePlan goal of staying under 400 referrals, currently sitting at 353, so let's continue to set a foundation of consistency and proactive support as we head into these final weeks. A huge shoutout to Ms. Ward’s class for winning the Golden Ticket challenge, and a big thank you to the many staff members who have recently volunteered at the Dojo store. Please remember to check the Daily Discipline Log each morning, contact families regarding any referrals submitted, and ensure ALC-bound students arrive with plenty of work.
We also want to celebrate our 4th-grade leaders in attendance at 95.6%, though we need a final push to lower our 25.7% chronic absenteeism rate through those vital "caring calls." Don’t forget to submit your May Allstar slides by May 18 and send me any amazing moments for our Highlight Reel. Let's keep reinforcing those positive behaviors and finish this year strong, your hard work and dedication make all the difference!

Staff Spotlight - Ms. Clay
As we approach the end of the school year, we want to take a special moment to honor and celebrate the remarkable career of Ms. Clay, one of our Pre-K Paraprofessionals, who will be retiring this year. Ms. Clay’s impact on the field of education spans decades, and her legacy is woven into the lives of countless students who began their academic journeys under her care. She has been a cornerstone of the Noble community, providing a foundation of love, structure, and encouragement for our youngest scholars.
Throughout this final year, Ms. Clay has gone above and beyond her classroom duties, serving as a pillar of strength and a source of profound wisdom for our entire team. While we will deeply miss her presence in our community, we are incredibly grateful for the decades of passion she has poured into her work.
