Live an identity of excellence.

Dear Bengal Nation,

As we start the 2025–2026 school year, we are stepping into something much greater than just a new year. We are turning a new page in history—a moment where each of us will leave our mark on the legacy of Braswell High School.

For ten years, Braswell has been more than a school. It has been a place where dreams take flight, where hard work changes lives, and where a community unites to believe in its children. Our halls have echoed with laughter, focused determination, and cheers of victory earned through grit and heart.

This year, our theme, "A Legacy in the Making: Honoring Our Past, Investing in Our Future," reminds us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. We honor those who built the foundation we stand on: the teachers who inspired us, the parents who sacrificed, and the students who showed the world what it means to be a Braswell Bengal. We also invest in the future through every decision, effort, and act of kindness starting today.

"Live an Identity of Excellence" is more than just our vision statement. It is a daily choice to give our best in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, and within our community. Excellence isn’t an act; it’s a habit. It’s how we speak to each other, how we face challenges, and how we refuse to settle for less than what we are capable of achieving.

Parents, thank you for trusting us with your most valuable treasure, your children. Students know that you are seen, valued, and capable of more than you realize. We will challenge you to aim higher, work harder, and lead stronger because we believe in who you are and who you are becoming. We are committed to instilling in you the true DNA that defines a Braswell student. We want you to live by our 3 B’s: (BE KIND, BE RESPECTFUL, BE GREAT).

Community members, your support is the heartbeat of Braswell. Your cheers in the stands, your encouragement in the hallways, and your belief in our mission give our students the courage to keep going, even when the road is tough.

This is our moment. It’s our time to carry the torch. Our chance to write the next chapter in Braswell’s story. And when we look back years from now, we will see that, together—students, parents, staff, and community—we built something that will last far beyond us.

Let’s make this year full of purpose, unity, and unstoppable Bengal pride. The legacy we create together starts now.

With pride, gratitude, and high expectations,

DeCorian Hailey

Drop Off & Pick up Procedures

Drive safe! Slow down! Be courteous!

Please follow the traffic flow map for AM and PM drop off and pick up each day. There are only two lanes, one for drop off/pick up and one for exiting. Do NOT drop off in the front staff parking lot.

Early Dismissal: We stop dismissing students early from the front office at 3:45pm each afternoon in order for staff members to prepare for and assist with dismissal. If you are picking up students from multiple grade levels, you may pick them up in either the main office or freshmen wing.

Drop Off Procedures

  • All walkers and car riders must leave the main entrance of the building at dismissal. Walkers and car riders should not be in the Commons or bus pick up area after school.
  • Students attending after school tutorials should report directly to tutorials.
