Founded in 2006, PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center actively leads social change to prevent childhood bullying, so that all youth are safe and supported in their schools, communities, and online (PACER.org). Join the library as we highlight books that promote kindness, respect, and standing up for one another. These books tackle bullying, celebrate differences, and remind us that our actions matter.

Important Information Important Information

1. If you have an unscheduled period, you are welcome to use the library. We just ask that you sign in on the Chromebook when you come in. The library is enforcing all cell phone policies. Students found violating the policy may receive the following consequences:

  • 1st Offense: Warning issued.
  • 2nd Offense: Detention assigned, device confiscated, returned to the student at the end of the day.
  • 3rd Offense: Detention assigned, device confiscated, returned to parent after parent conference.
  • 4th Offense: Saturday school assigned, device confiscated; device required to be turned in at the start of the school day.

2. If you choose to use the library at lunch, you will need to have your ID scanned upon entry. Please make sure to have your actual ID card (or the barcode in 5-Star) to enter. Make sure you have finished eating your lunch before you come in.

3. We have textbooks for you to use to study. We need collateral from you (an ID, phone, car keys, something you won't leave school without) in exchange for the book. You'll get it back when you get the book back.

4. EBSCO databases. Take a look at the information below to access the databases. Stop by the library if you have any questions about getting access.

5. You can still access the Gale databases through the Thousand Oaks Public Library. Stop by either branch to sign up for your free library card. Anyone living in CA is eligible to sign up for a car
