This is a wonderful time of year to get together with family and friends to celebrate and be thankful for all of the wonderful people in our lives. On behalf of the Maple staff, I would like to thank you for your continued support and dedication to helping our students grow and succeed! Team work truly makes the dream work!!

With gratitude,

Grade 2 Cogat Testing Grade 2 Cogat Testing

Dear Parents/Guardians,

During the week of November 18th, 2nd grade students will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). Classroom teachers will administer the online test in small sessions during the week at times that work best for the students. The CogAT is made up of three sub-tests: Verbal, Quantitative, Nonverbal. The testing time for each sub-test is about 30 minutes. Since this is a listening test, please make sure your child has a pair of headphones at school.

Student results will be sent home to the parents/guardians 4-6 weeks after the test is administered. If your child is absent when a test session is given, they will make up for what they missed later that week, and during the next week as well.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at Heather.Keenan@nocseagles.org or call me at 440-588-5314.

Sincerely,

Heather Keenan, Ed.D.

Coordinator of Gifted Services
