Mrs. Elliott's Message
This week was so heart-warming to be able to welcome Veterans that are connected to Maple into our school. Our students celebrated them by sharing songs, poems and artwork to thank them for their service. Our students were able to learn through the stories that were shared. Thank you to everyone who was able to come and for those that submitted pictures for our Hero Wall. Be sure to check out the slideshow below that was shared during our assemblies!

I want to take the time to express my gratitude and thank all of our Maple families for being such an important part of our Maple Team. This is a wonderful time of year to get together with family and friends to celebrate and be thankful for all of the wonderful people in our lives. On behalf of the Maple staff, I would like to thank you for your continued support and dedication to helping our students grow and succeed! Team work truly makes the dream work!!
With gratitude,

Grade 2 Cogat Testing
Dear Parents/Guardians,
During the week of November 18th, 2nd grade students will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). Classroom teachers will administer the online test in small sessions during the week at times that work best for the students. The CogAT is made up of three sub-tests: Verbal, Quantitative, Nonverbal. The testing time for each sub-test is about 30 minutes. Since this is a listening test, please make sure your child has a pair of headphones at school.
Student results will be sent home to the parents/guardians 4-6 weeks after the test is administered. If your child is absent when a test session is given, they will make up for what they missed later that week, and during the next week as well.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at Heather.Keenan@nocseagles.org or call me at 440-588-5314.
Sincerely,
Heather Keenan, Ed.D.

Third grade authors are "retiring" some overused words and exchanging them for others that bring their writing to life!
