Lt. Patty Simons Annual Food Drive
Lt. Patty Simons 30th Annual Law Enforcement Food Drive
The 30th Annual Law Enforcement Food Drive is underway, and Cole Manor is proud to support this important cause once again!
This regional effort supplies numerous Montgomery County, PA food pantries, including Catholic Social Services (Norristown), the Patrician Society (Norristown), Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard (Ambler), Daily Bread Community Food Pantry (Lower Providence), Manna on Main Street (Lansdale), Operation 143 (Pottstown), Keystone Opportunity Center (Souderton), Shepherd’s Shelf (Harleysville), and the Salvation Army Norristown Corps.
Renamed in 2007 to honor Norristown Police Department’s first female officer, Lt. Patty Simons, who passed from breast cancer, this drive continues her legacy of community service.
Students may bring non-perishable food items from November 17–December 12.
On Thursday, December 18 at 9:00 AM, donations will be loaded onto a tractor-trailer and escorted by a police motorcade to the Salvation Army on Swede Street, Norristown, where officers, volunteers, and officials will unload the food to live music from the Salvation Army Band.
