π Message From Mrs. Morgan π
Welcome back, Jaguars, and Happy New Year! πΎ I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and joyful break filled with time to recharge and reconnect. As we return to school, we are excited to jump back into learning, growing, and finishing this school year strong.
Our students have already shown us what they are capable of, and we will continue to challenge them to push themselves academically, socially, and personally. Every day matters, and showing up ready to learn makes a difference.
As we move forward, we will continue to focus on our ROAR expectationsβbeing Respectful, Organized, Accepting, and Responsibleβboth in and out of the classroom.
Thank you for your continued support of Sharon Elementary. Letβs make 2026 a year of growth and success!
π¦Ί School Safety π¦Ί
Morning Arrival: As part of our ongoing effort to ensure the safety of all students, we'd like to inform you that everyone should be using the designated car rider line during morning drop-off. The car rider line is designed to provide a smooth, safe way for students to arrive to school. The car rider line with assigned staff is from 8-8:40 AM. After 8:40 AM parents must park and sign their child in at the front office.
Afternoon Dismissal: As we enter the halfway mark in the school year, I'd like to send a few reminders about the car rider line in the afternoons. Safety is our priority!
- Be sure to have a car tag. The front office can issue you one if you've lost it.
- Parents are welcome to stand outside their vehicle in the car rider line, however please do not leave your vehicle and walk to the hallway entrance.
- No cell phone usage.
- Please do not switch lanes once you've entered one.
Crosswalk Safety: Let's keep our families safe, please follow the rules of the crosswalk.
- Pedestrians have the right-of-way, therefore, please do not rush to try and beat the families crossing.
- We have a walkway, flashing light, and guard, Mr. Jackson to assist.
Our SRO as well as another Walton County Police Officer will be monitoring that area in the mornings and afternoons. Citations will be issued if cars are speeding and/or do not follow the rules of the crosswalk.

πΎ PBIS πΎ
At Sharon Elementary, we use PBIS β Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports β to help create a safe, respectful, and welcoming school environment where all students can learn and grow. PBIS is a school-wide approach that focuses on teaching and encouraging positive behaviors. Just like students learn math or reading, we believe behavior should be taught, practiced, and celebrated!
As Jaguars, we ROAR. We are Respectful, Organized, Accepting, and Responsible. Please review and remind your child that we want to ROAR every day in the cafeteria, hallways, playground, and in the classroom. We have lots of fun plans for this school year to reward positive behaviors. The January Character trait word is Patience.
