Parent Square
Clovis Unified's way to communicate with parents and for you to communicate with us is an app called ParentSquare. ParentSquare is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with your school(s) and the district. It provides a safe way for parents, district administrators, school principals, teachers, and staff to:
- Send and receive school and class information
- Share pictures and files
- See calendar items
- Sign up to volunteer
- Schedule parent-teacher conferences
- and much more . . . all in one centralized place!
- To join ParentSquare and link to Garfield, and for more information, click here!
Student Arrival / Dismissal
Parents, please do not drop off your student until 7:35. Our staff are not on duty until that time, so supervision is not available. Leaving your child unattended is not allowed. Breakfast is served in the Cub Café beginning at 7:35. Due to bell schedules it will not be possible for ASI/BHS students to pick up Garfield siblings after school. Students may not wait on campus, in classrooms, or in the office for siblings to arrive as no after school supervision is available. Expanded Learning Club provides before and after school care. For more information, call 327-9160.
Message from the Health Office
Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year!! Your Garfield nursing team this year will be Hasmik Haddadin, Credentialed School Nurse and Fatema Hasson, LVN. We are very excited to start the new school year and can’t wait to meet your families. We would like to share a few important details with you:
Medication: If your student will need to take medication during school hours, you must have your child’s doctor fill out a ‘Medication at School’ form and bring it to the health office with your labeled medication in the original container. Please do not send medication with your child or give medication to your child’s teacher. If you have any questions regarding medication at school, please call our office and we will be happy to assist you. 559-327-6877.
Dietary needs: If your student has a food allergy or a health condition that requires a special meal, our dietary team will be able accommodate your student with a ‘Special Meal Accommodation’ form completed by your child’s pediatrician. You can find this form on the CUSD website. If you need any assistance in obtaining this form, please call our office. 559-327-6877.
Please call or visit our office if you need any assistance with your child’s health care needs while at school. 559-327-6877.
We are here for you and your student!
Drive Through Lane & Parking at Garfield
We are pleased to offer the drive through lane on Nees Ave. for a convenient drop off for your student. Please do not park or leave your car in the drive through lane during the school day. There are buses that pick up and drop off our special needs students throughout the day, as well as emergency vehicles, and they must be able to pull into the drive through. Parking is available in the Peach parking lot or at the church parking lot across Nees. Please do not attempt to park in small parking lot near the kindergarten building. Thank you for your understanding and help with this!
Deliveries at School
Lunch
Students should know if they are eating hot or cold lunch before leaving home each morning. If a student accidentally leaves their lunch at home, they may eat hot lunch instead and should let their teacher know during lunch count. Students will not be permitted to call home for lunch as this is disruptive. If a parent drops off a forgotten lunch to school, there will be a table outside the office for them to place it on. The lunches will not be monitored and will not be delivered to students.
Forgotten Homework / Sports Uniforms
Forgotten homework, books, or sports uniforms may be dropped off on the table in front of the office. All items should be labeled with your student’s name. Please email the student’s teacher to alert them to the drop off. Items will not be monitored and will not be delivered to students.
Deliveries
No flowers, balloons, or special deliveries will be accepted by the office. No phone orders or food delivery orders such as Door Dash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats will be accepted. Students will not be summoned, and deliveries will not be made to classrooms. Students may not meet food delivery drivers during the school day.
