Dear Wauwatosa Montessori School Community:

Thank you to all the families and staff who dined in or ordered carry out for our PTSA fundraiser at Lou Malnati's this week. Thank you to Lauren Hogan and Sandy Ritschke for organizing this event!!

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25th 3:30-5 p.m. MONTESSORI CURRICULUM NIGHT!

At our upcoming Montessori Curriculum Night, you will have the opportunity to learn about the Montessori curriculum from Children’s House to Adolescent Program! Most classrooms will be focusing on math for this event. For this event, you will be able to attend 15 minute drop in sessions in the library on the Montessori curriculum and our Wauwatosa Montessori School Growth plan. If you bring students, you and your student can walk through each classroom to see or hear about how a concept or a few concepts are presented in the curriculum. AP Inc. will also be selling delicious popcorn! You don’t want to miss this exciting opportunity to experience the Montessori curriculum firsthand.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone! Please RSVP here!

Adolescent Bike Trip

This week our adolescent program biked to the Monarch Conservancy. Rosie shared that a highlight of the trip was “seeing the diversity in wildlife.” Jude shared that a benefit of biking is that “we don’t need to pay for a bus!” Check out the pictures below. In addition to the science learning, the students were empowered to see their community and have the opportunity to be active. Here is an article from Green Schools about the benefits of walking and biking. Thank you to Charise Dawson, Katie Myers, and Kait McCullough for organizing this trip for our students! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who made this possible: Christina Martinez, Pete Lakatos, Jason Stasiewicz!

UE Trip to the Schlitz Audubon Society!

This week our Upper Elementary students traveled to the Schlitz Audubon Society. Our Upper Elementary students had the opportunity to engage in field work to explore ecosystems through immersing in the natural world. Thank you to Ms. Emily and Ms. Susan for organizing this event! Thank you to the parent volunteers who joined to make this trip possible.

LE Trip to the Planetarium!
