Cooper Families,
What a GREAT NIGHT we had at Cooper on Tuesday! Thank you to all who joined us for our tree lighting and amazing pasta meal made by our very own Mr. Brett Gunderson! A HUGE thank you to Mr. G for his generous idea to feed our Cooper Community and then going above and beyond to ACTUALLY FEED our Cooper Community!!! Thank you to those who volunteered their time to help prepare and serve as well! Another big thank you goes out to Mr. Andy Hauswirth and his granddaughter, Aimee, for volunteering their time to entertain us all during our meal. It is definitely one of my very favorite family nights that we host. Thank you for the snacks and goodwill donations, for the gathering of community, and a great night of fun and cheer! We are excited to see you all for our concerts on Friday, December 12th (10 AM & 1:30 PM).

Kindness and Generosity
In December, we focus on the character traits of Kindness and Generosity. One way we highlight all the big and small (and free!) ways to be kind is by participating in the Great Kindness Challenge. We talk about how kindness spreads and not only makes others feel respected and cared about, but noticing the unexpected side effect of you feeling good too! The Great Kindness Challenge Family checklist can be found below. The picture is linked to the website for printing.
Food Drive Hosted by Our 1st Graders
First grade hosted a food drive for the Ronald McDonald House Charities during the month of November. This charity is located in Duluth and is an amazing resource that helps provide comfort, care, and support for families with children who are seriously ill or injured. We would like to extend our gratitude to our Cooper community for all of the wonderful donations! Your support was amazing and will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!! Thank you, also, to Allison Kimmes who organized the food drive and helped set everything up for this to happen!
Here are some pictures of the donations as they were brought to the Ronald McDonald House in Duluth this past week.
