Hello Falcon Family!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope you all have enjoyed summer break with your families! I cannot believe that summer is already coming to an end! We are so excited to begin this school year with you and your child. We know that this year will be a great one!

Come to the Corinth Elementary play ground to say hello to your CE Principal, Mrs. Bovan, and Assistant Principal, Mrs. Fay, reunite with school friends, or make new friends on Monday, August 5th from 5 - 6 pm. We'll have popsicles for everyone!

Meet the Teacher Night is August 12th:

• 5:00-6:00 pm - Families with last names beginning with A-M
• 6:00-7:00 pm - Families with last names beginning with N-Z

Transportation will be available to answer questions about bus routes. Car tags will be issued to families. PTA will be present to assist families with joining PTA and purchasing t-shirts and other CE swag. Watch D.O.G.S will have a table to provide information about our Watch D.O.G.S. program and assisting with signing up. Alphabest will be available to answer questions and assist with sign-up. And there will be other tables that you will want to check out!

Students in Pre-Kindergarten and 1st - 5th grades will drop off their supplies on this night. Kindergarten students WILL NOT bring their supplies on this night. Information has been sent to Kindergarten families earlier today..

Last year, our Lost & Found was FILLED with jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and any other items that students often misplaced. We did our best to check labels and return items to students, but most of the items were not labelled. We are asking that you LABEL all of your child's jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunchboxes, backpacks, etc. this year. To help with this, we have found a fundraiser, Mabel's Labels, that sells LABELS! This is a great way to support our school while setting your child up to keep up with their items! There will even be labels with our CE logo! The fundraiser is on-going. You can order anytime throughout the year, but what better time than back-to-school!

If you’re not familiar with Mabel’s Labels, they are personalized, durable, waterproof labels. They are great for everything from shoes, clothing tags, waterbottles and backpacks. You can customize them with your name and a design, and they are dishwasher, laundry and microwave safe. Mabel’s Labels also offers clothing stamps, silicone bands for water bottles and medical alert labels.This is a great way to ensure your items don’t end up in the lost & found or mixed up.

Have you completed the Free and Reduced Meal application for the 2024 -2025 school year?! This application must be completed every year. If your child is a returning student, you can apply in Skyward Family Access.

Information about how to apply can be found here. I have also attached a flyer that gives more information about the benefits of the program, with one of the most important benefits being SCHOOL FUNDING. Even if your child does not plan to eat meals provided by the school, qualifying will help our school! Please apply today!

Returning Falcons: Lake Dallas ISD's On-Line Returning Student registration has been extended to Friday, August 4. To register your student, please log in to Family Access to complete the registration for your student.

Beginning Monday, August 12th, all parents/guardians of elementary students will be able to view their student's teacher information for the 2024-25 school year. Classroom teacher information will be accessible in Skyward Family Access.

If you need assistance with your Family Access log-in on August 12th, please contact our office manager, Mrs. Johnson, in the CE front office at 940-497-4010, and she will be able to assist you.

With your Skyward Family Access, you will be able to add money to your child's cafeteria account, check grades, and view progress reports, report cards, and attendance information.

To avoid the Car Tag line on Meet the Teacher Night, feel free to drop by our office to pick up your car tags beginning TODAY.

Lake Dallas ISD will continue to use the state-required 2-mile transportation radius for bus service in the 2024-25 school year. As part of the district transportation plan, students who live 2 or more miles from their zoned campus are eligible to receive bus transportation provided by the district.
