Dear Kindergarten Families,

Welcome to Windsong Ranch Elementary! We are so excited to welcome you and your child to our school family for the 2026–2027 school year.

For many of you, this is the very first time you are entrusting your most precious gift to us. We know this milestone comes with a full mix of emotions: excitement, pride, and perhaps a few butterflies! Please know that we take this responsibility to heart and we are committed to making this transition safe, joyful, and smooth for your family.

To help you prepare for the big day, we are sending a two-part Kindergarten newsletter series:

• Part 1 (This Email): The Nuts & Bolts — Below, you will find all the practical logistics, day-to-day details, and essential procedures you need to know before school begins.

• Part 2 (Coming Next Week): The Curriculum — Next week, we will share more about what your child will be learning in the classroom, including academic goals, daily routines, and social-emotional learning.

Meet the teacher is Friday, August 7, from 5:00 - 6:30 PM.

• This is a come-and-go event where your student can meet their teachers.

• Your child's teacher will also be seeking important information from you about how your child will go home on the first day of school and each day after.

• If you need to share specific information about your child or have further questions, please email their teacher and schedule a separate time to meet.

• Because our teachers will be working all day on Friday, August 7th, we will end Meet the Teacher promptly at 6:30 PM so they can get home to their families.

For families who have COMPLETED registration and have received the confirmation email from our registrar, your child's homeroom teacher will be posted in Skyward Family Access on the evening of Thursday, August 6. If you don't see it immediately, please be patient, as it can take time for the homeroom teacher’s name to populate.
