WINTHROP WEEKLY

Dear Winthrop Families and Caregivers,

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible FRIES group for their dedication and hard work in organizing this year’s Tiger Trot. Thanks to their meticulous planning, the event was a huge success!

Our students had an absolute blast running, jogging, and walking around the front circle. It was wonderful to see their excitement, energy, and school spirit on full display. Not only did they get some fantastic exercise, but they also enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day outside with their peers.

Most importantly, we want to thank you, our families and sponsors. Your generous support helps raise vital funds that directly benefit the Winthrop School Community, allowing us to fund the programs and resources that make our school such a special place to learn and grow. Thank you for making this day so memorable for our students!

MCAS Testing Update

We are proud to report that our students in grades 3–5 have successfully completed MCAS testing. Our Tigers were incredibly engaged and put their best effort forward. We commend them for working so hard to demonstrate all of their knowledge and skills!

School Council Recognition

We would also like to express our gratitude to the Winthrop School Council members as they conclude the school year. The council has been working diligently on our School Improvement Plan for next year, and we truly appreciate the time, energy, and insights they have invested into moving our school forward.

Looking Ahead

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we are looking forward to some wonderful end-of-the-year events. We are thrilled that the weather is getting warmer and that our students are enjoying the fresh air daily!

Thank you for your continued partnership,

The Winthrop Administration Team

End of Year Celebration

We’re excited to celebrate the end of another amazing school year on Friday, June 5, from 5–7 PM on the Winthrop Front Lawn — rain or shine! Families can enjoy Touch-a-Truck, Kona Ice, Beefie Boys, Topsfield House of Pizza, face painting, lawn games, and more.

Don’t forget to participate in our Cakes for Kids tradition! Families are invited to buy or bake a cake and drop it off at school on 6/5. Each cake donation earns 3 Tiger Tickets, which can be used for games, pizza, popcorn, Kona Ice, and more at the event.

We need volunteers to help pull off this event. Please sign up here to volunteer!
