A Note from the Principal
Happy April, Ranger Families!
We are in the final nine-weeks of the 2023-2024 school year! There is still a lot of learning going on! Here are a few notes as we enter April:
- Current student registration for the 2024-2025 school year is open through April 9th. Thank you to all of you who have completed registration. If you have not already, be sure to complete the registration process online. Visit www.killeenisd.org/enroll for more information and to register. Please note - if registration is not completed by April 9th, you will have to complete the registration process for new students when that window opens.
- STAAR testing is right around the corner. April 10th, 16th, and 23rd are STAAR testing days. Please note - the campus will be closed to visitors on these days.
As always, please continue to encourage your students to engage positively in learning every day and to interact with others appropriately. Thank you for your continued support of Timber Ridge ES.

Counselors' Corner
Ranger Parents and Guardians,
The month of April we will be learning all about Perseverance in our counseling lessons. Perseverance–being able to work through situations even when there are obstacles or challenges in the way. Perseverance teaches our children to tackle challenges head-on, to overcome obstacles, and to keep striving for their goals, even when the going gets tough. It's about fostering resilience, grit, and determination in our students, qualities that will serve them well throughout their lives.
As your school counselor, I encourage you to have conversations with your children about the power of perseverance. Remind them that setbacks are just temporary roadblocks on the path to achievement. Encourage them to embrace challenges with a positive attitude and to never give up on their dreams.
April is also Month of the Military Child. we celebrate the courage, perseverance and tenacity demonstrated by our military-connected children, youth, and teens and what they mean to our community.
Sincerely,
Mrs. DeVito, Mrs. Mobley, and Mr. Price
