Principal's Message
Good evening, Bruin families-
We are nearing the end of the fall semester! On Monday and Tuesday, students will remain in their fifth period classes during Flex time to study or complete any outstanding projects or essays.
Final exams will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and we will follow a minimum day schedule. Classes will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m., so please ensure students arrive on time, as tardy sweeps will occur at the start of the school day.
Encourage your student to dedicate time to studying for finals to ensure they are fully prepared to perform their personal best.
Looking ahead to January, please note that students will be required to display their ID cards upon entering campus. Consequences will be enforced for students who fail to comply with this policy.
Thank you for your continued support in making this semester a success.
Best regards,
Principal
Julie Hummel
Staff Member's Of The Week
Ms. Kelly Smith
Consumer Foods/Fashion Teacher
Ms. Lisa Charboneau
Special Education Paraeducator
Staff members of the Week are: Ms. Kelly Smith and Ms. Lisa Charboneau
Ms. Kelly Smith is one of the great teachers here at Bear Creek High School. Many students often say that they learn so many culinary techniques from her class and that they enjoy being in the kitchen because of her. Her methods of teaching are methodical and anyone can follow along and learn from her. She also contributes to the amazing culture here at the Creek and we are lucky to have her.
Mr. Lisa Charboneau is a paraeducator here at Bear Creek. She is always the first person to step up and help whenever there is a difficult situation in the classroom. She cares deeply about the students she works with and always has a great attitude.
When you see Ms. Kelly Smith and Ms. Lisa Charboneau, please congratulate them on being Staff Member of the Week and thank them for all that they do for the BC Community.

Parent Climate Survey (K-12)
Dear Lodi Unified School District Parents and Guardians
Each year, the district desires to obtain community input to measure parent and family engagement, including how well the district builds relationships between school staff and families, builds partnerships for student outcomes, and seeks input for decision-making. Each year the district collects this information in part using the Parent Climate Survey. This survey also helps determine the allocation of services included in the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), and is used to evaluate the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) for each Title I school site. It is a valuable source of information, and we hope that you take the time to answer thoughtfully. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. The survey will be available from December 9th to December 20th. This link will take you to the survey. Your responses will remain anonymous.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback!
If you have any questions, contact Uve Dahmen.
Attention Seniors:
Financial Aid Resources
The FAFSA and CADAA are scheduled to open on December 1, 2024 for the 2025-26 academic year. The delay from the customary October 1 opening day is to allow the US Department of Education time to perform beta testing and eliminate issues.

2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Application(CADDA) is OPEN! Do not delay and fill it out today!
All Seniors are required to fill out one of the applications. Don't miss out, Priority Deadline is March 3, 2025.
In California, completing either a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or a CADAA (California Dream Act Application) is required by law for all graduating high school seniors, meaning it is mandatory to submit one of these applications to the state unless a formal opt-out waiver is filed; this requirement is enforced through state legislation, specifically the California Education Code Section 51225.7.
Please use the resources below to learn more about FAFSA or CADDA and what form would be best for you.
