Respect, Pride, Integrity - The Rocket Way
R-PEL Families,
Fall is in full swing, and with it comes a season full of activities, learning, and excitement for our students. From the classroom to after-school events, it’s wonderful to see their energy and enthusiasm shine through each day.
Thank you for your continued support during this busy time of year! Together, we’re making this fall a season of growth, connection, and success!
Go Rockets!

Capturing Kids' Hearts
Did you know that R-PEL is a two year in a row National Showcase School for CKH?
What is Capturing Kids' Hearts? CKH is a program for teachers that focuses on building strong, positive relationships between students and staff to foster a safe and supportive school environment.
You may have heard your kids talking about their Social Contract in their classroom, if not, ask them what that is!
September's CKH Character Trait is Empathy.
What is Empathy?
Empathy is the ability to be aware of, understand, and be sensitive to another person’s feelings. Instead of focusing on how these feelings impact ourselves, empathy motivates us to focus on others and respond with care and compassion.
Meals THROUGH September - Message from Mr. Edwards
Good afternoon, Rocket Family!
I want to give you a quick update since this impacts so many of our families. While school starts Monday and our budget was required by law to be submitted to the State of Michigan back on June 30, the state still has not passed its budget for the new fiscal year. That leaves us flying a bit in the dark, and I know many of you are wondering whether your children can count on school meals next week.
Here’s the good news: we WILL provide free breakfast and lunch for all students at least through the end of September. Because next week is a “soft start” with all half-days, this means free breakfast for all students each day.
In the meantime, especially with all the uncertainty, thank you for taking a few minutes to complete the Child Nutrition and Education Benefits Application. Your participation directly supports our kids and our schools.

High School Sports - Information on tickets and "cashless"
Hello Rocket Sports Fans,
We are excited to announce that this fall, Reeths-Puffer High School Athletics will transition to a cashless-only system for ticketing using GoFan. Our goal is to streamline event operations and enhance your game-day experience by reducing wait times and improving security.
This transition follows the successful implementation of cashless systems at MHSAA events and among local schools such as Mona Shores, Grand Haven, West Ottawa, Jenison and Zeeland Schools.
How to Purchase Tickets:
Online: Visit gofan.co and search for "Reeths-Puffer."
QR Codes: Scan the posted codes at entrance gates.
On-Site Card Payments: Use a credit/debit card at the gate.
Fans without smartphones can purchase tickets in advance or receive assistance at the gate.
Why Go Cashless?
Faster Entry – Spend less time in line and more time enjoying the game!
Increased Security – Reduces the risks associated with handling cash.
Convenience – Buy tickets ahead of time and access them digitally.
We appreciate your support and are here to help make this transition smooth for everyone. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out. At this time only high school athletics will be cashless and all season, family and individual passes will be cashless.
