EVERY CHILD. EVERY DAY. EVERY CHILD. EVERY DAY.

💙 Welcome back, Lincoln School Family! I hope everyone had the opportunity to rest and rejuvenate! Let's get these last 11 weeks started!

💛 A special welcome back to Andria! We are so happy to see you around the Lincoln halls again!

💙 Remember to plan ahead and get things off your plate early--Teaching with Care documents, report card comments, any packing that can be done early--these will all help to reduce the stress at the end of the year.

💛 Labels and Sharpies are in the office. Please see Mallory when you are ready for labels. The labels will need your room number and teacher name.

💙 Consider sending a message of gratitude to a Lincoln Staff member. It can be anonymous or you can include your name. Let's spread some joy to our team!

Spring Break Construction Update

Lighting upgrades began over the break. If the lighting in your classroom has been updated, the option to dim the lights will not be available until the fall. This may be a bit of an inconvenience for now; however, this construction has greatly reduced the days of work over the summer.

Additionally, please share an update with your students regarding the construction, including a discussion about respect and safety. Electricians have been asked to zip tie wires up high, but just in case some are slightly lower, students should avoid these so they don't get knocked down further.

As with any construction project, let's not sweat the small stuff and keep the end goal in mind--AIR CONDITIONING!!!

For Staff Information

The room where the laminator is located will be used by Andria from 9:25 - 10:10 and 12:30 - 1:20 each day. She will lock the door and put a sign on the door indicating that it is in use. Please be aware of these times in case you are in need of the laminator. We can move the laminator out of the room if this falls within the only time you are able to laminate. Thank you for being flexible while Andria takes care of her sweet baby girl!

IXL ELA Pilot

We have great news regarding our IXL ELA pilot. Nearly 250,000 questions have been answered by our elementary learners since our launch on Jan. 16th. Wow! That's a tremendous amount of practice! See the picture below for our Lincoln data. You may want to consider adding the pilot to your next district grade-level check-in agenda on Wednesday, April 5th. Discussing as a grade-level team what works best for you will help us to utilize the program more efficiently and be consistent throughout the district. It's nice to learn together!
