Principal's Message
I hope everyone found conferences to be helpful in understanding the progress and goals for your students. I enjoyed getting to speak with so many families and I appreciate everyone who has taken the conference feedback survey so far. Your feedback will be reviewed and we will use the information to plan out our next round of conferences.
As discussed at open house this year, we have hired three new early literacy tutors and made an intentional shift in our schedule to dedicate time for small-group literacy work within the school day. To maximize the impact of this time, children may receive targeted instruction or additional practice in foundational reading and writing skills from our new early literacy tutors within the classroom or in another school location, depending on space available. These short term flexible groups are designed to boost both skill and confidence. Student participation in their work with the tutors will vary throughout the year as their needs change. We are so excited to see how the focused time and support will positively impact our academic growth this year.
As a final note, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every veteran in our Center School Community that has served our country. I am grateful for your sacrifices. As a reminder, there will be no school tomorrow to honor our veterans.

Pick Up Patrol
Attendance & Dismissal Updates: No more phone calls, paper notes, or emails!
Reporting Absences, Late Arrivals or Early Dismissals
All student absences, late arrivals, and early dismissals should now be entered through PickUp Patrol. This allows the school office, health office, and classroom teacher to access the information directly.
Absences (Please enter as soon as you know of an upcoming absence. It helps us a lot when they are in prior to the day starting).
Late arrivals
Any changes to dismissal plans (before 2pm)
Using this program ensures that the school office, your child’s teacher, the health office, and the dismissal team all have the same, up-to-date information each day. Families can access PickUp Patrol through the mobile app or the website dashboard.
